Fifth graders Simon Dey and James Bass, Seattle United soccer superstars, are holding a soccer clinic on Wednesday, May 22nd from 5 to 6:30pm at the B.F. Day upper play field for recreational soccer players age nine and under. The soccer clinic is to raise funds for Joey Saleh’s family. Joey is undergoing cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital for a brain tumor. There is a $10 suggested donation to participate (cleats are not necessary but bring shin guards if you have them).
Please email email@example.com to sign up and help support Joey and his family. Both expert and beginner kids are most welcome.
Editor’s note: I am just a mom of a first-grader here at BF Day. I volunteer when I can and now and then put an update on this website. This is truly one of the proudest moments I have had being part of the Family School. A big hats-off to Simon and James for this act of kindness, and my heart and thoughts are with Joey’s family. Although scheduling conflicts mean my daughter and I cannot attend this soccer clinic I am still moved to make a donation to help pay for Joey’s medical bills. If you are too, here is a Paypal link.
